The Forgotten One

The 1994 Rookie of the year sure has come a long, hard way. Jeff Burton with 17 cup victories to his credit has been totally OVERLOOKED for quite sometime. Think about it, for four years straight he finished in the top ten in points between 97 and 2001. Then sponsorship woes at Roush Racing began his career's descent. Then giving him the worst of equipment, in my opinion basically fucking him. Actually by letting Jeff go, Roush really opened a door for a new beginning.

Ironhead always liked Jeff and one time had even thought about him as a future driver for the three car. The Cingular Chevy I think is in great shape to be in the chase. First the three teams at Childress "work" together as a team with fairly equal equipment for all of its drivers. Secondly, being the eldest driver in the stables give him that edge of confidence as well as maturity. Third and most importantly, he has one of the Greatest car owners available. A owner who drove for a living before owning a team. We cannot let Jeff follow Ward out into the woods to become another forgotten driver. Neither will Richard.

I really like Jeff Burton and I'm glad he has a team that is backing him way better than Roush did.
Plus, he's good friends with Matt! :)
And he's quite the prankster... he put a sign on the back of what he thought was Kenseth's motorcycle helmet, but it was Katie's helmet. The sign said "crackhead". I forget what race it was, but Kenseth said they rode the bike all the way home with that sign on her head and then noticed it when they got home! LOL!!!
