"I definitely could have used better judgment coming back up on the race track," said Earnhardt, who ran only 179.991 mph on his qualifying lap Friday, leaving him with the 35th starting spot for Sunday.
"...I hate we wrecked all those cars and I hate that Brian and I got on bad terms with each other. But I am out there racing. I've made mistakes before and that probably won't be the last one."
Earnhardt said he called Vickers this week to assure him the wreck had not been intentional. Vickers said he appreciated the call.
"He called to say he didn't mean to do it," Vickers said. "I told him I didn't know what to say. We ended up finishing almost last (38th) because of what happened, so I wasn't happy about it. But the call meant a lot."
From his perspective, Earnhardt said it has been an interesting to be "the bad guy" in some minds."

This was taken from That's Racin.com. Props for Junior to admit fault in last weeks race. He "MANNED" up and for that I give him props. "Nough said!!!
Props to Brian Vickers on his pole run in Cali. Sucks he had to change the motor, you know what that means!!! Start in the back. The rest of the top ten are: Vanilla Nice with a beard, Jamie Mac, Rubberhead, Da Biff, Papa Gordon, ROOT!!!, A.J. "Dinger", Toe Nails, and Shrubs. Must also mention Tony Stewart is 11th, not bad for a "new" team.
Props also go out to Shrubs for layin down one hell of a fast lap to take the Camping World Series pole. He had that truck flat out flyin!!! The rest of the top ten are as follows with some being a total surprise: Johnny B., Ricky "Goat" Carmichael, Ron Hornaday Jr., Mike Skinner, Colin Braun, Onionhead, Matt Crafton, Rick Crawford, and Mad Max Papis rounds it out. Should be a good race, especially if Goat can keep it up til the end.
