First things first, MADD props to Dennis Setzer and that number 18 BHR Dodge on their win Saturday. Dennis showed not only that he still has it, but can put an ass whoopin on the "youngens" in the field. I gotta say a little something 'bout that number 18 Dodge. Waaay back in 1995 I changed tires for a Arca team based in Clearwater, Micheal Dokken was the driver and Dokken motorsports was the team. His Dad Wayne, was at the time about the only place to get VP racing fuel sponsored his efforts through the family wallet. Mikey did well enough that when Dodge first came back to the sport, they hooked our driver Mikey the fuck up with the number 18 Dana Dodge. So that was about as close as I got to the big time, but as for Mike he ran quite a few years. Unfortunately Mike took a bad ass wall hit in late 90's if memory serves me right, he now wrenches and builds trucks. There is a lil bit of useless knowledge for yas. Props also go out to : Matt Crafton (his best finish ever btw), Rick Crawford, Kenny Schrader, Erik Darnell, David Starr, Travis Kvapil, Ron Hornaday, Rookie Donny Lia (Autism Speaks GR88 CAUSE donate if you can), and finally open wheeler rockin the house in tenth place Scott Speed. Brendan Gaughn finished 11th and I had to say that and GO Davidson!!! Talk 'bout Cinderella story.
I also must say I am so fucking impressed with Chrissy Wallace. That girl I believe is the real deal. Not only did she run well ALL day long, but when shit happened she handled it like a veteran. I guess being in a family of Wallaces doesn't hurt and with Dad spotting and Tony Stewart on the box talk about an ace in the whole. This young woman can drive, I couldn't tell it was her first truck race. She looked better than most of the men out there that were rookies, some veterans too.
Last but not least, Mr Consistancy got too aggressive again and slammed Johnny Benson out da way, thus taking him and FULL-TIME driver JB out of the race. I am going out on a limb here by saying I really like Shrubs, yes there is someone else besides his mother that likes him. He can drive the wheels off of any race car, but the one thing I see that he is missing is common sense and courtesy. I mean that if he doesn't start giving some space especially in this series he will find a bunch of the regulars will start punting him just to get him away from their equipment. Which I believe will piss Billy Bellow off. Sooner hopefully than later Shrubs will learn to be patiently aggressive and take a little lesson from JGR PR department. If I were Kyle I don't think I would go around Johnny B's crew anytime soon. Oh well that is short track racing, emotion, beating and bangin, and of course controversy.

I looked forward to the truck race with great anticipation and I wasn't let down where Chrissy was concerned. She is the real deal. Kyle could really learn something from her. She drives with class. He is just out there to "have fun" as he puts it and could care less who he takes with him when he does something stupid ~ and that is almost every race he is in. One day you will wake up and say, "What did I ever see in him?" lol
