Last weekend I saw something I wasn't used to, Rusty struggling to sound like he knew what he was talking about. Most of the time the Fenton Mo. native is like John Force, mouth running faster than his car. Now he seems out of his element. Given time I AM SURE Rusty will get it down. For now I have my fond memories of the "Blue used to be Blue and White before that it was the Gold and Black Duece". Then it got me thinkin, why not tribute the now "retired" friend of Dale Sr.? Take it away Bud.........
Since his first race in the 1980 Coca-Cola 500 in Atlanta, Russell William Wallace has driven in 706 Cup races. Finished second in his very FIRST race. Totally not expected from the 1983 ASA Champion. He went full time Cup racing in 1984, finishing the season as Rookie of The Year and fourteenth in points in that old 88 Gatorade Pontiac. In 1986 he left Cliff Stewarts team to join up with the 27 Alugard pontiac for Ray Beadle. Scoring his first win at Bristol was the start of a long list of wins. 1987 Beadles team picked up Kodiak for sponsorship and two years later Rusty was jumping around on it with as Winston Cup Champion. Beating out the "Man" by only twelve points. DIZZICK!(not really, but hey he beat Ironhead) Sorry about that, back to what I was sayin. 1990 Miller Genuine Draft joined up replacing Kodiak as sponsor. The next year Rusty and Miller went to Penske and that is how ole Russell's tenure in the 2 car got started. Also winning the IROC championship that year was good for the old resume. 1992 Rusty only got one win but it was a good one. The Miller 400 in the chassis he named "Midnight". 1993 Rusty kicked ass ten wins out of thirty races. Unfortunately it was not quite good enough to beat Dale Sr., falling 80 points shy. In 1994 the team switched to Ford and 1997 switching the Miller Lite sponsorship. When Dodge entered back in Cup in 2003, Penske jumped aboard changing the 2 car to it's now all blue paint. 2004 Rusty scored his fifty-fifth and final win. Last year was the "Last Call" for Rusty as he rode off into retirement on the three(there it is) wheeled old persons bike the owners of Daytona International Speedway gave him as a retirement present. Now "retired", Rusty owns his own Busch team and is currently "attempting" broadcasting. I am sure once ESPN/ABC starts covering NASCAR again Rusty will be the one they ALL go to for the answers. Until then Russell, keep up the good work, keep Steven focused and enjoy your "trike".
Sorry about the lack of photos, but BLOGGER IS SUCKING total Jimmie Johnson right now!

There is no number for Blogger support. They don't want you to actually contact them!!! Blogger has been sucking the past couple of days. I just tried uploading one photo and it worked. Maybe try again and see if it works.
Well, Dawg, you'll just have to try again, because this post needs some classic Rusty pictures. :) Other than calling him a "dizzick", that was a great post about my main man Rusty! I still miss seeing him on track. :( I hate that they still call the 2 car the "Blue Deuce"...I'm sorry, but no one will ever drive a car with that nickname other than Rusty. I think it belongs to him. Still can't believe they stuck Shrub the Elder in there...it's a damn shame.
And hey, hey, hey, Dawg, to callin' him a "dizzick" (I love how you do that)...your man couldn't win every damn time! Rusty only got his one championship (and he deserved it, don't you think? Poor Mark Martin is just as good and ever got even one!), and the fact that Dale lost it by 12 points means they were both great drivers, and Dale gave him a run for his money that year! :)
Thanks for a great little tribute to Rusty. I can't wait until he's the commentator for races next year. I think he'll be perfect! IRL is just not where his knowledge is...I'm still not sure why they hired him for that.
The Vanryn Leeches.
It just goes to show what thick cunts the Americans are to get two people mixed up, and also shows just how self obsessed her parents were to use their daughter as tool for self promotion. What kind of family, who at their daughters (at first possibly dying) bedside, make writing a blog to get as much attention for themselves, their first priority?
They are selfish, egotistical bastards.
Or to put it another way, typical American cunts!
The poor young woman who passed away (Laura) is better off dead, her family are cunts.
In the mean time, feel free to visit my blog. (((hugs))) *s*
