Life In The Pits

It is said "real men" work the pits. Four tires, Five off five on, two tanks of Sunoco, tear-off and a cool drink. Not to forget the adjustments. You say big deal? Try doing it in 14 seconds with some crazy beyotch zinging by at 60 miles an hour. If you ask me they are the ones that can win or lose a race. It looks like choreographed chaos, but to the "real men" it is just another day of life in the pits.

The guys in the pits are crucial! Sometimes they are forgotten, in all the race happenings.

I have a friend who says racing isn't a team sport. Obviously he didn't see the mishap in pit road Carl Edwards had.

I give these guys major props...there's no way I could do what they do...it's like changing tires/gas on a highway!

Ouch!! Those men are brave working in the pits and are a crucial part of the team.

Loved the history of your Dad and your great-grandma, Dawg. Very cool, even though it wasn't about racing! :)
