Great weekend of firsts. Friday, David Stremme wins in a RWI Dodge Charger in the ARCA Series. Johnny Benson wins his first truck race. Too bad it was in a rice burner.
Then the best surprise of them ALL! David Gilliland wins his very first race in only seven, seven I say under uncensored races. Six of which were this year. This Winston West driver is for real. With help from Billy Wilburn (Rusty's old crew chief), Clay Andrews team has the start of a possible powerhouse. I know one win doesn't mean shizzit. Think about this for a minute, they build their own motors in house. That HORSEPOWER was made in shop! Clay owns and operates Hype Manufacturing. They make parts for cars, boats, motorcycles, appliances and probably anything else you would need made. David is no stranger to racing. Since 1996 he has been a fabricator, crew chief, and driver. Doing ALL those jobs at the same time in some cases. Made his Winston West debut in 1999 moving to Featherlights in 2003. Winning 2004 Rookie of the Year in the Grand National Division West. Visiting victory lane once there and twice in the Autozone Elite Division. Sounds like Clay has a driver that can contend. With no help from the bigger teams and very little money from sponsors, their future is pretty damn bright. Madd props to David, Billy, Clay, and that whole number 84 Hype Manufacturing team.
Props to God for "giving" Kasey another win. Awesome job for the Budweiser Brew Crew. Third is a derivative of three( gotta luv it) so that is not so bad Junebug. Hanging tough fourth in points. Great job Kevin Harvick for tenth and congrats to his RCR team mate Jeff Burton right there in eleventh. How about two out of three( there it is again) RCR cars in the top ten in points.
Finally, I would like to thank all you guys for my Fathers Day wishes. Many thanx to my beautiful little " Tire Pups" for my Dale Junior black test car diecast. Wifey, what more can I say but thanx. Thanx for my awesome little girls. If it wasn't for you this would be another day to put a card in the mail. You guys mean the world to me (sniff sniff sniff, what the hell, sniff, sniff, sniff). Ah man I gotta go...... where the hell are the wipes??
Happy Fathers Day!!!
