Bye Bye Brian???

It has been rumored that Brian Vickers, driver of the 25 GMAC Chevy is going to go race a Fusion with Elliott. The way HMS has treated him has been just short of bullshizzit. In my opinion, they have given him the leftovers and put everything in the 48 and the 5 car. Even leaving Jeffy buddy with second rate equipment. Which would leave Brian with ALL the leftovers. When Ricky Hendrick hired him, those two had plans. Now with the passing of Ricky it would appear the I don't give a fizzuck about Brian bug has bitten HMS. Maybe they should concentrate on three(even about HMS, that number rocks) cars instead of "trying" to field four teams. I like Brian and think he is a really good driver. So I will give you guys a little 411 on Beezer:

After winning eighty or so go-kart races Mr. Vickers decided in 1998 he would try the Allison Legacy Series, then moving to the Dodge Weekly Racing Series in 99. Jumping into the USAR Pro Cup Series in 2000 netted him two wins AND Rookie of the Year. Next season finished second in points with a total of five wins. Vickers father said in 2001 take the family 29 ride and give the Busch Series a try. Started thirtieth and finished thirty seventh after crashing out. The following year the Vicker family tried to put together a full time ride for Brian in a Dodge Intrepid, but due to lack of funds midway through the season it didn't quite work out. Finishing seventh was his only top ten. Later in '02 after Ricky Hendrick broke his shoulder was Brian's break. Subbing in for the young Hendrick, got him a full-time ride in 2003. With three(luvs it) wins Brian became the youngest Busch Series Champion edging David Green by only 14 points. Testing the waters in Nextel Cup that season gave him the opportunity to drive the 25 whatever the hell it is sponsored this time because nobody gives two shizzits about Brian because they are all worrying about the HMS menage-a-trois between the 5, 24, 48 cars. So there you have it. Maybe with Brian "checking out" opportunities else wheres he WILL become the WINNER I think he could be.

Madd props to that Fed-Ex Number eleven driver Denny Hamlin for knocking the Alien Snow Angel off the top spot for Sundays race. Nice job for four in a row for Mike Skinner in the truck series.

I have always liked Brian despite his boss. So glad he has wised up. Guess he got tired of being the red-headed stepchild. Good for him!

I'm so glad Brian is moving on from HMS! He doesn't fit the whiner profile there.

And I cheered when Hamlin knocked the alien snow angel off the pole! Yeah!

Where'd you hear Brian was going to RYR?

The 411 I got was Red Bull Racing.

I hope it's RYR. I like Brian too and would hate to see him become a Jap butt-boy.

Ya, he and Elliott would make good team mates. Hope that RYR can convince him they are going to turn their program around though. And UPS might like Vickers... don't know...
Looks like Mears wants to run at HMS real bad. He mentioned it in like every interview yesterday. Oh, that's right... he's good friends with JJ isn't he?

Nah, Leo...it's Ford all the way. :)

I'd love to see Brian at Yates with my Elliott, but I want them to stop calling the 88 the "top spot". When DJ leaves, the 38 will be their "top" ride at RYR, not the 88. Just my opinion, but hearing them say otherwise is pissing me off.

Good for BV for getting the heck out of HMS while he can, no matter where he ends up.

Shh... I secretly use my other blog to bring people into NASCAR. Look, I got Leo watching it... and it wasn't just the hot guys for him. :) I think I've help turn at least 3-4 people into rabid NASCAR fans now from that blog. I put that blog back on Blog Mad so Denise can get some circulation for her template design business. She's a good friend of mine.
But yes, everyone on my journal blog knows it's Kenseth and Sadler for me. And occasionally, the blogs overlap when I have to share a win or an awesome picture of man candy, I meant the candy man.
