25, 42, Still Second Rate

Well now ole Rick Hendrick and company should be happy now. They signed Casey Mears to a driving contract through 2009. Woo Hoo, Casey should be doing back flips that would make Carl Edwards jealous. I mean look at the history of that famed number 25 car:

Since 1975 when that number came out with Earl Brooks driving it to a forty-third place finish in points, that number has SUCKED! The only time the number 25 had a driver do anything noteworthy is when Tim Richmond drove it to nine total wins in a two year span and when Kenny Schrader won four times in eight years. Since 1991 that number has visited victory lane just twice. Once with Jerry Nadeau in 2000 and once by "Front Row Joe" Nemechek in 2003. So with ONLY 15 wins between twenty-five different drivers including Rick Hendrick makes you think that this IS(LOL) a class ride. After all his wife DOES own the team (Hope he puts more in their marriage than he does her team). It would appear that Casey has gotten the worst end of the deal. Not that Ganassi has put a car worth a shizzit underneath him either, but at least he was Chip's flagship driver(this year). If you ask me or even if you don't, Brian Vickers got the best deal of all. No more HMS kiss-ass bull shizzit and no more being the red/white/blue headed step-child. Good luck Casey with all your buddies at HMS. Be careful when you bend over, that's when you will find out what kind of buddies they truly are.

without ol' tim i don't know if the glory will ever come back. well maybe now. i'll wait and see. sure miss tim-he would be a force to reckon with now. if some snot nosed kid would push him now he would go home with his helmet stuck where the sun don't shine.

Hey you know who caused that wreck with the 25 in your picture? Jeff Gordon thats who. That was at Talledaga and Gordon wrecked his team mate Scrader. Schrader walked away from it with a badly swollen eye. They really need to change that number, its cursed. Think about it; Richmond is dead (not race related, but still), Craven and Nadeau got head injuries and don't race anymore, Schrader was involved in the accident that caused Dale's death (even though he was driving for another team at the time, but he still has a history with the 25), Rick Hendrick's son is dead and he was involved with the 25 car and Vickers, and Nemechek suffers sever family trauma with the death of his brother (I think) etc.

Vickers did get the better end of the deal..no more Princess Jimmie, King Whiner Jeff, and From Another Planet Busch.

Good Luck Brian whereever you may land!
