Today's Busch Series race was quite a bit more entertaining than the rest of them have been. After swallowing the fact that Kyle Busch got the pole for the Nicorette 300, I figured I would stick around and watch a little of the race anyways. What a surprise I got!!!! What a fizzuckin blow out on Shrubs car. That was some damage and then to see the same thing happen to Ryan Newman was the icing on the cake. Very good pieces of driving on both drivers parts, especially Shrubs. Best part for me is when Jeff Burton won the race in the number 21 Coast Guard Chevy. Not only because of Jeff and RCR, but because a good friend of mine is serving in the Coast Guard. God Bless ALL our boys in service.
Speaking of service, a friend of mine, Shadow asked about the hatman of NASCAR and what happened to him. Well my friend here is what I found out....... After sooooo many years of helping the drivers out as to where the press was and all the media as well as handing out the hats for all the pictures in victory lane, Bill Broderick is the proud owner(with another family member) of a small riverside tavern in Algonquin Il. Funny how life turns out. Once drivers turned to him for guidance and direction in Victory Lane and now patrons turn to him for guidance to a good drink and direction to the way to the bathroom.
