Looks Like Papa

Finally, somebody gave Kerry a f@#kin break! ThorSport Racing signed Kerry Earnhardt to a one year deal (maybe more) to drive the number 13 truck. In case you are not into the truck series, it pairs him up with Matt Crafton and the number 88 Menards Chevy. Not that I "know" this but if you ask me , it seems like there is the potential for help from DEI.
Last year Kerry ran a couple of races for Billy Ballew Racing's number 15 Chevy. He earned last years Pole at Daytona and finished seventeenth at Fontana. With only two races before sponsorship woes hit, I'd say he did ok. WTF, only two races it would be hard to say anything else. Being the oldest son of Dale Sr., he chose to raise his family first, before chasing after the rag. Also what is forgotten about is Kerry never had the "Man" in his corner like Junior did. Sixty eight starts in the Busch Series, only three top fives and six top tens. Best of which was a second place finish at Kansas in '02. Now with a team that WILL have FULL sponsorship for '06, I expect Kerry will finally find his niche. Truck Series is funny, drivers that haven't fared so well in the Cup Series do VERY well. Don't believe me, look at the last two champions. Bobby Hamilton and Ted Musgrave. Didn't do squat really in Cup, kickin ass and taking Championships in the trucks. Go figure. Maybe with Kerry in the truck series full-time not will he only look like Papa E., maybe just maybe we can see him drive like Big E. A champion. Good luck Kerry.

This is great. I hope it works for him, he deserves it. He has lived in the shadow of Dad and Brother for far too long. I would love to sse Kerry kick butt. Maybe it will bring more fans to the Trucks too.
