The Earnhardts

It is that time again. With Speedweek coming at us at a blistering pace, my stomach starts to hurt and my eyes begin to get a little steamy. All is good except for the yearning in my heart for the man in black. I miss you Ironhead. I hope you are teaching the good man upstairs how to pilot a stock car. Reminds me of, at the time the best joke I ever heard:

A man enters Heaven and goes up to St. Peter, as he lets him in he notices that there is a track much like Talladega in the background. He asks St. Peter what that was behind him. St. Peter replied that it was a track identical to the one in Alabama. Being a NASCAR nut, St. Peter took him to the infield just by the entrance to the pits. The man looked up and saw the 28 of Davey Allison speed by and thought THIS IS Heaven. Just then he saw the 51 of Neil Bonnet go by. As he was telling St. Peter that this was the best he looked over to see the black number 3 fly by at no-restrictor plate speeds. He looked over at St. Peter and asked " when did Dale Sr. pass on"? St. Peter replied, no that's not Dale Sr., that's God "thinking" he's Dale Sr.! God Bless You Dale Earnhardt, WE STILL LOVE YOU!
