Ten long years have passed since the tragedy at the World Trade Center and The Pentagon happened. I am taking this time to honor one victim as a tribute to ALL 2996 lives that were so harshly taken that Sept. Morning. Charles J. Houston, a forty-two year old stock broker working for Euro Brokers Inc. Located on the eighty-second floor in Tower number two is where Charles spent his final hours. Taken from us for NO Fuckin good reason as well as all the others lost that day, still goes without REAL answers. All we can say or hope for is that God is blessing these poor families effected by this tragedy. Even my family was effected. My father helped build those beautiful pieces of New York City skyline, and as well with the clean-up. My brother-in law mentally lost it after the clean-up. He picked up part of a human body. I will leave it at that. Now he is my ex-bro in law(mentally changed drastically). If that is what the workers went through, I can only imagine what the families are going through to this very day. May God Bless Every One Of Them.

Charles Joseph Houston was 6-foot-1, weighed 225 pounds and had a thick mustache. "He had a rough exterior, but inside, he was such a mush, especially around children." said Linda Houston, his wife. He frolicked in his backyard pool with his 2- year-old nieces, read to his 9-year-old nephew, and in general "snuggled with them." He went for walks with them and took them to movies and malls. "He was like a second father," she said."But he was a pull-no-punches type of guy," she added. "What you see is what you get. He wouldn't sugarcoat on anything. If you asked him for an opinion, he'd tell you what he really thought, sometimes even things you didn't want to hear."He and his brother-in-law, Otto Diodato, the father of his nieces and nephew, used to be efficient handymen in their two houses, merely a few yards apart. They'd be constantly concocting projects , redoing the kitchen counter tops, building fences, changing the bathroom tiles , and actually finishing them. But shortly before the September attack, they had become more like "Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble," his wife said. "They would joke around, enjoy each other's company, and the projects would last forever." Mr. Houston, 42, worked at Euro Brokers. He and his wife were planning to adopt a child next summer.

Madd ass props to Jamie Mac and that whole EGR Bass Pro Shop Team on their win. Bringing back another Daytona 500 victory to the now Earnhardt/Ganassi/with Felix Sabates Racing.Considering I never thought it would go the distence since the track was in such great shape!!! Jeeeze people get the fuckin track together before you race, can we all remember TEXAS??? The last one won for EGR(DEI) was by who else??? Junior back in 2005 I believe. I think that Jamie Mac and Bono make a gr88 fit. What a big fuck you to Jack Roush, remember he cut Jamie last year to get down to four teams??? I can remember Jack-me-off dumping Mark Martin because he didn't want to work with Mark when he wanted a limited schedule. KARMA, whatta bitch!!!

We also gotta give props to the rest of the top ten as follows: Junior!!!, Greg "Da Biff" Biffle, Clint Bowyer, David Reutimann, Mahtin Truex Jr., Happy "I should Have Won" Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Carl "Mr. Ed Teeth" Edwards, and finally Juan Pablo Montoya.

Thinking about it...EGR, MWR, amd RCR sure came back this year for redemption. AWESOME job to those teams and their efforts. Gotta luv Jimmie "Vainlla Nice" Johnson's 35th place finish, can we say CAR BROKE!!! Maybe we will have another Champion this year, hopefully his replacement won't be as boring as he is. By the way Jimmie with all that payola you won last year, do you think you could maybe buy Chandra a cheeseburger and a milk shake??? Any skinnier and she could be used for a skeleton key.

Anyways the 2010 racing season has begun. This year should be alot less YAWNING than last year with the changes to the cars and especially bump drafting on the big tracks. It is now off to the land of earthquakes and drunken celebrities. I sure missed the soumd of the engines and smell of the fuel, whatta long 3 (luv dat numba) months it's been!!!

I rescued a human today.Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels.I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her.I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage.I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today.Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past.I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me.I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her.Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms.I would promise to keep her safe.I would promise to always be by her side.I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor.So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors.So many more to be saved.At least I could save one.I rescued a human today

Twas the night before Christmas and all through Dawg's House,
Everything was quiet, quiet as a mouse.

No one was stirring not a dog nor a cat,No phone calls were ringing "OH!!! My tire is flat".

Both Tire Pups were crashed out in their beds.

While Barbies and Bratz dolls danced in their heads.

Wifey beside me snoring as loud as an engine.

I heard a loud sound, maybe Wifey broke a piston.

So I jumped up to the window and what did I see?

Seven crew members and a Black Monte Carlo, numbered Three.

That beautiful site sat parked in my yard,

I had to look twice, I looked really hard.

The window net went down and what a surprise did I see???

A fat man with a beard was getting out of Dale's number Three.

I looked at that Chevy from it's nose to it's tires,

then I yelled out, HEY that's Chocolate Myers.

From a deep sleep Wifey awoke to this loud clatter,

she annoyingly yells what the hell is the matter???

"Look out the window" I replied as I ran down the hall,

tripping over Domino and busting my balls.

I brushed myself off and returned to my pace,

I would have given anything to see the look on my face.

As I opened the front door and looked out on my lawn,

no Chocolate or crew members , it was all gone.

I screamed and I yelled as I threw such a fit

At the top of my lungs" this is such bull shit"!!!

Where did they go, where is that Number Three???

I didn't realize by now ALL the neighbors were looking at me.

As I tried and I tried, I tried to 'splain.
Each and every one of them thought I was insane.
They pointed and laughed as they stood there and stared,

WTF??? Penske Supposed To Save What???

I know this is supposed to be a NASCAR website, but me feels I need to rant about this. All right, here's what I think about Penske backing out of the deal with Saturn.

Roger Penske is a fucking great business man and an awesome owner of some of the greatest race teams in all types of racing, but what the fuck are people bitchin about him not saving a sinking ship. To my understanding, GM was supposed to make the cars and Roger was supposed to raise the wreckage. I have heard "some" peoples opinions that it is Roger's fault now that people are losing their jobs at the plant. WTF??? How about blaming the idiots at GM for that fubbared event.

Roger is simply a man that builds race cars and has multiple SUCCESSFUL businesses. To think he was trying to be the savior for that falling company is simply idiotic. I can't say as I blame him for blowing off the deal. Was he and his race teams going to manufacture those cars??? I don't think so, I'd jump ship too if that was put in front of me.

I guess the executives (LOL) at GM think that a truly reliable car isn't worth making anymore. It seems like lets bring back ONE car and that will make us more money than a whole line of RELIABLE cars!!! Stupid fuckers, and the "Captain" gets shit for it!!! I really think these pen pushing, overpaid, my shit don't stink, dumbfuck execs could take a lesson from NASCAR and IRL team owners. These owners have built truly safe race cars from nothing more than a bunch of channel, tubing, and sheetmetal and most of them still wear jeans and regular shirts to work. My point is this, the execs are truly fuckin stupid thinking nothing more than profit. So they bring back the Camaro as a quick fix for a long term problem. Dumb asses!!!

Ahhh who fucking cares, Jimmie "Vanilla Nice" won yet again during another Chase??? Did Joey Lagano get the ride of his life or what??? Just goes to show that the new cars bring boring races, but they sure are safe. Madd props to the JGR fab shop and all the men and women that build those cars. Something tells me "Smoke" ought to take ALL that crew and driver out to Burger King for a WHopper, cause that was a "Whopper" of a ride.

Since everyone knows about Carl Edwards and his "Frisbee Fuck up", it was no surprise when Carl won last nights Nationwide race he just shook Jack Roush's hand instead of his famous backflip. Now don't get me tooo wrong, but I'd love to see him miss and bust his ass. Why??? Well just because as long as he didn't get hurt, I'm just that way. In neeed of a sick joke...LOL LOL LOL!!!

Anyhooo, madd ass props to Carl and his team for a great effort. Think about it, mash the pedal for a shitload of laps and your foot is busted. That is something to talk about whether you like him or not. That is the definition of "No pain No gain!!!". Gots to give him the "Atta Boy Award"!!!

Sorry to the few of you that still check my blog. My wife and family has been through the wringer this last 12 months. I have had no desire to write or even give a shit about my blog. Things are starting to rock the house again and so is my demeaner. Reader's Digest version for those who give a shit: Gramma passed (99 1/2 years old and my BEST friend, not to mention the mother I NEVER had), business slid to a stand still, so I sold it, Wife has been ill with pancreas probs, and we moved back to my home state and GREATEST state of all New York. Wife is getting better, kids are kickin ass in school, I am back to work operating heavy equipment instead of changing the tires on them, and well my Dad and step-MOM have shown me what life has to offer again. THEY KICK fuckin ASS!!!

So all I can say is this, when you think life has kicked you so hard in the lugnuts you don't even give a shit anymore. Stop, look, and think. There are people and things in this life that have it worse than you and be greatful for what you do have even if you don't realize it and it is right underneath your nose.

Still sneezing from all the dust that is on my blog. I needed to take a little break. Life has kicked me in the lugnuts and I wasn't feeling it. Unfortunately for you all, "I'm Back"!!!

Gotta say madd ass props to the "Kid" Mark Martin. Not only did he inherit Jeff Gordon's old nickname, he picked up on Jeff's old ways. Winning races, who says you can't teach an "Old Dawg" new tricks??? I guess "life" begins at fifty...who would have thunk it???

Speaking of HMS and related teams...!!! Damn Smoke!!! That was a hell of a good race and great finish for a "new" team. Ryan Newman sure has held his own also. With both cars in the top twelve, chances are they both will be in the Chase. All they need to complete this awesome season would be a "Pole" and a points win to lead up to Smoke's expectations. It would be ironic if Ryan did them both. After all the Man is nicknamed the "Rocket Man".

What kinda gets me thinkin is WTF is up with the 88 team??? I don't think you can blame Juniorrr, cept for the dumb mistakes in the pit box. I think it all revolves around the crew chief and his lack of "creativity" with the COT. The 88 TEAM has the same resources as the rest of the HMS crews. So the misinterpretation of information has to lie on the crew chief's shoulders or laptop, which ever way you want to look at it. Until that changes, I am sad to say June won't be able to capitalize on the equipment he has underneath him.

What about Shrubs and his winning ways??? That kid can sure win about anything he drives. Love him or hate him, he IS the real deal. Only thing that will stop him from being respected by fans for more than just driving is his selfish attitude. I mean if Kyle wins he is all happy goo-goo, if he doesn't win (even a top five finish) he needs the "Wahbulance" to escort his pouting ass to the motorcoach. SOOO much talent, SOOO much to learn about maturity!!! Kyle!!! Take some media edicut courses, it can ONLY help!!!

Man I know it has been a long time posting, but there has been several reasons I haven't. One I have been busy with work and also have had a few health issues leaving me with little to no desire to post. Most of all I have been bored shitless with NASCAR and it's boring fucking races of late.

Take for example Fox and their most fucked up coverage of the race. Programming starts at 1 for instance, the fucking race starts at 2:30 or so. WTF??? That is such bullshit and to think NASCAR is worried if the Super Bowl lands on the same day as the Daytona 500. SOLUTION DUMB ASSES... start the race at 1 and then by 6 it's done, jeez Louise and I am a tire changer!!!

Fox could also take that stupid critter named Digger and relocate him somewhere FAR FAR FAR in the outer woods and leave the wild life alone. Doesn't anyone remember the bird and deer at Pocono???

The racing has gotten to be so much more hype than good. Don't get me wrong to see Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon win again did my heart good, but the racing sure sucks anymore and a win is more luck than skill I think. I like this new car, but the drivers need to learn how to drive it better IMO. As once was said by "somebody": "This car is like driving the bigger cars of the 70's and 80's". Well no shit Sherlock, the drivers have to DRIVE the car and not let "engineers" dictate how the car will drive.

I hope this weekends Tally race is more exciting than the rest of the races have been so far this year. Usually there is ALWAYS something happening on that track. Then again Bristol is that way too, but YAWN this year!!!

Props to Justin Lofton on his Arca win yesterday. That series is still fun to watch, I was hoping Alli Owens could get her a top 5, but she still kicked ass and got a solid top ten finish. It was also fun to listen to Schrader call the race watching his number 52 Saturn Chevy almost get a win. Bill did a great job driving, but had no car to beat Loftons.

Last but not least, my take on the Mears/Junior thing. Some would call the retaliation immature if another driver would have done it (Last year with Shrubs and Edwards comes to my mind), since it was "Junior" it was "cool" to see him give shit back to Sluggo. I personally have nothing against Casey Mears, but I definately think he isn't worth a Cup ride. He can't drive the cars worth a shit (hey his record says it all) and the lone win he got while with Hendrick was a fluke of gas milage. Easy enough to say the swap of Jack Daniels and Cheerios I think was total bullshit. Besides the obvious, can you really picture Casey selling shitloads of Jack??? Hell I can't even see him selling fucking bottled water, let alone a brand of whiskey. Bowyer on the other hand looks like a Jack drinker, much like Junior looked like Budweiser (unlike Mr. Metro Kasey Kahne). I think Clint got fucked!!! So be it... "itiswhatitis"!!!

Since last weeks win by Shrubs there had been a lot of happenings. First lets say madd ass props to Jimmie Johnson "Mr. Vanilla Nice (with a beard)" and the Blowes Chevy team. What a race Sunday and whatta move put on the "Dimwit Hamster". Awesome job boys on your well deserved win. Yesterday's truck race was a typical truck race without the typical finish. Kyle Busch dominated the race and then a STUPID miscalculation on Kyle's part messed up his whole day. After getting "nudged" outta the way by Happy Harvick Kyle's left rear quarter was a little fubarred. So Kyle on the back strecth tried to "fix" it by slapping the inside wall to bang out the metal away from the tire. What Shrubs didn't think of was the commitment line for the pits. NASCAR said you crossed it and didn't come in, so pass and go penalty. Thus LOSING the race and basically ruining his whole day. More on this in a moment, the rest of the top ten are: Ron Hornaday Jr., Mike (Thank God his name isn't Dick) Skinner, Johnny B., Rick Crawford, Stacy Compton, Dennis Setzer, Brian Scott, Matt Crafton and one of my faves Kenny Schrader rounding out the top ten.

The "Oh Shit Whatta Dumb Fuck Award" goes to...(drum roll)...Kyle Busch. He gets the award this week for his little childish temper tantrum he threw after the truck race. He threw his helmet and Hans device on the back of his truck and "ran like a little bitch" down pit road to get the hell outta Dodge after the race. He recieves this distinct award for his once again childish antics. Kyle, I love ya homey, but you gotta grow the fuck up. YOU made the decision to try and "fix" your quarter, you are the one who wasn't paying attention to where the commitment line was, so why did you act like a young child when the race was over??? As far as how it got messed up (the quarter panel) Harvick did the very same thing you would have done in that position, so WTF???!!! Look in the mirror and then cast blame. Don't take it out on anyone but yo self "Homeboy".

Next week it is Texas. Maybe June can shake that monkey off his back with a win where he got his very first at.

Makes me think Mark might still have some Viagra in his tank after greasing his OLD joints with Valvoline and drinking a shitload of Foldgers coffee after visiting Winn Dixie. All right so I pushed it a bit, but DAMN!!! The old fuck can still drive!!! I am so happy for Mark Martin. He is just a good ole boy still loving to race.

Saturday's race was another clinic on how to win in a Camping World Series truck put on by "Professor Shrubs". What a dominating run by Kyle and that 51 team. The rest of the top ten : Happy, Onionhed, Mike Skinner, Terry Cook, Chad McCumbee, Ron Hornaday Jr., Mike Bliss, Johnny B., and Brian Scott.

I guess if little brother can win on Saturday, then it might have seemed only fitting that big brother win on Sunday. ANOTHER dominating win by a Busch. This time it was Rubberhead that ruled the laps. That Miller Lite Dodge was fast ALL day. Taking the "Petty" line most all day long proved to be the right move. Total domination!!! Personally I thought it was a race for second place, cause first was pretty well locked up. The rest of the top ten or twelve in this case (that was all that was left on the lead lap thanx to a stupid gasman trying to save a tire.) are as follows: Papa G, Flipper and his Duck, Happy, Brian "I got wiings" Vickers, Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, Smoke, Vanilla Nice, Martin "I got kidney stoned" Truex Jr., Junebug, and last on lead lap was Matt Kenseth.

The "Oh Shit Whatta Dumbfuck Award" goes to the gas man of Marcos "Kangaroo Meat" Ambrose for chasing a tire into the infield while the race was still going on at full speed. I don't know what Jimmy Watts was thinkin, but he sure fucked up a bunch of drivers day. He did that during a green flag cycle, thus causing a caution to be thrown while a bunch of cars were in the pits. Big deal right??? It made a shitload of cars one lap down and the few that were only a lap down before this act of stupidity two laps down, resulting in leaving just a handful of cars on the lead lap. In other words...dumbass!!! While it cost a shitload of teams positions, Jimmy was tossed for the remainder of the race for "putting himself in harms way". Makes you wonder if he left before the race was finished...I would have been asshole and elbows outta there if I was him.

Sigh a week off before Bristol, like they need a fucking week off after three (Loves that numba) months off time. BRING ON THE RACING!!!

A few posts ago I "stated" my OPINION about Junior and his bonehead driving mistakes of the season, although I offer NO APOLOGYS here is the "devil's" advocate.

It must be a mother fucker to be in Junior's shoes. Think about this, he is the son of Dale Earnhardt (GREATEST DRIVER IMO). To have to walk in the path of Sr. must be a bitch. I have often called this the "Kyle Petty Syndrome". Hang in there and I will explain. How do you compare to the awesome success of thier fathers??? You can't. How can you equal or top what their fathers have accomplished??? You can't. So how could Kyle or Junior EVER live up to their father's accomplishments??? THEY CAN'T!!!

I have been thinkin about everything I have read in other sites. Some slammin Junebug, some praising him and making excuses for his fuck ups, and then some telling the real truth using stats and performances. Do I think Junior is as good or better than his father, NO. Do I think he is as good for the sport as his father, HELL yes!!! He has bridged the gap between us old school fans and the newbies that just like him for his name or ass in a firesuit. I hope that June finds his OWN way, without the comparisons to Sr. and his legacy. He truly deserves that.

Speaking of his legacy, how do you think Junior feels about TEI and Ganassi merging??? I bet Sr. is rolling in his grave!!! Not that I think Junior deserved 51%, but I think June deserved at least a fifth of that company. That company deserved to stay FAMILY (You Dumb Beyoutch)!!! What a decent race weekend finally!!! Both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series put on a pretty good show this past weekend. They had lots of racing and action as well as cautions...NOT FOR RAIN either!!!

In the Nationwide race, in the beginning it looked like the Kyle and Scott Speed show...but then...Kyle used up all his talent going strong into the corner and well...ooops!!! Car slid out from behind him (much like a bunch of other cars) and there it went. Oh well...sometimes your the bear and sometimes your the sandwich. Greg Biffle went on to snap a 70 plus winless streak. Gotta give "Da Biff" props, I like that dude. Good driver that helps animals!!!

In Cup, well SHRUBS!!! Besides winning the pole, getting put to the rear of the field for an engine change, then coming from the back to win in his hometown, just a typical day at the racetrack for the younger brother of Rubberhead. Love him or hate him, Kyle can sure drive!!! Still reminds me of certain GREAT driver when he was a young shaver. If Kyle can keep it up and mature as a person, he will be the next big "Wild" thing.

Props to the rest of the finishing top ten: Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton, Reut!!!, Bobby Labonte, Papa Gordo, Da Biff, Brian "I got Wiings" Vickers, Jamie Mac, and Junebug. Damn good finish considering he got slammed for a speeding penalty through the pits. Maybe Junior has got the crap races outta his system and is settling down to kick some ass. Lets hope so, great equipment, great guidance, and of course great DNA!!!

Remembering Davey

In 1993 Davey was tragically killed when the helicopter he was flying crashed on take off. Out of 191 starts Davey had 19 wins. Most rememberable race for me when he and his father Bobby were racing for the win at Daytona, which was won by Bobby. That was a family affair in Victory Lane to remember, with gallons of Miller beer being sprayed, poured, and of course consumed. Yesterday would have been his 45th birthday. R.I.P. Davey, you are still missed.

Almost pulled it off, if it weren't for Matt Kenseth winning the Cup race on Sunday. Kyle Busch almost swept the CMS three (luvs dat numba) races this past weekend. Shrubs won in the Camping World Series and Nationwide series, but failed to complete the sweep when a dominating car from Roush Fenway Racing stables threw a curveball into Kyle's plan.

Matt Kenseth and his "Killer Bees" kicked total ass Sunday and proved the win that was "given" him last week in Daytona is no fluke compared to how that 17 Dewalt/Carharyt team performed this past Sunday. Those boys were spot on. I guess this is Matt's way of making up for the winless season he had in '08.

The rest of the top ten are: Papa Gordo, Shrubs, Da Biff, Rubberhead, Dimwit Hamster, Flipper, Smoke, Vanilla Nice, and Brian "I got Wiings" Vickers. Nice finish Brian, considering you started from the back.

The Oh SHIT section is: Kevin Harvick and his first DNF in 81 races ending the current longest dnf streak ( ironically Clint Bowyer is current at75 I beleive.), Dale Jr. for motor gone "POP" as with Mark Martin's engine went "Sanp, Krackle, Pop", not to mention the same type failures from Aric Armadillo and Scott "Blue Toe" Speed.

Vegas is up next and now this season is started. Good luck to ALL of those who have had troubles these first 2 races, just remember it is still early.

"I definitely could have used better judgment coming back up on the race track," said Earnhardt, who ran only 179.991 mph on his qualifying lap Friday, leaving him with the 35th starting spot for Sunday.

Earnhardt said he called Vickers this week to assure him the wreck had not been intentional. Vickers said he appreciated the call.

Well my friend it has been eight long but fast years since I last saw you. I still have that picture of Micheal, Junebug, and you barreling into turns three (forever will be my favorite) and four hanging by itself, man what a sight. You made ALL your fans proud during that race. DEI AND the "Man" in the top three (still trying not to cry) spots. I was screaming!!!

Well Junior held Rick to that napkin "contract". Hooked him the fuck up with his new 88 National Guard/Amp ride. I guess he and T had to split to make things right in both thier worlds. I personally think T. fucked up and let your Empire go to shit. June left and so did Budweiser and as Tony Stewart predicted "Your Garage Mahal" is now just a museum. Now a "future" for your kids has now merged with Chip Ganassi. Don't get me wrong, Chip is a hell of a racer it just doesn't mean shit for your kids.

DEI's future was litterally left up to June and Budweiser. Junior opted to ump the sinking ship and go to Hendrick, like I need to tell you this crap LOL. Hendrick has added MORE pressure to June, considering the fact he is in the "best" equipment in the business. I know it makes me wanna puke thinkin Jimmie has a chance at 4 in a row, LOL.

Jeffery is doing well, 'cept for the fact that T. pulled him from his Camping World Series ride to help Aric Almirola in his career. Shit Jeffery would have finished top ten at ONLY 18!!! Anyways, sorry to bash yo old lady.

Of all the tributes done for you since your passing, the holding of the three (fingers up as I type) fingers on the third lap is my favorite. Look out there during the third lap at the 500. That is ALL for you. How about in Harvick's third race in the 29 car. A win over the Rainblow Warrior ( I know respect him he IS a 4 time Champion) was sweet redemption of sorts.

I bet you are proud of how RCR and ALL the drivers are doing. I know Jeff was your first pick for your replacement waaay back when, can't help but think their newly gained performance is an indirect effect you had on Jeff. Kevin now has his own identity, yep thought the same thing. Looks like hulk Hogan gone wild, but if anyone can pull it off "Happy" can. Clint sort of reminds me of you a little. Country boy kinda look, until inside "his office".

I guess what I am trying to say is this... Dale You are still missed and still needed. Thank you for ALL the memories and most of all the couple of times I personally met you. Not only were you my hero, you were REAL!!!

Well now first things first... props to Matt Kenseth and his gimme win thanx to NASCAR and their stupid fuckin boring two and half hour pre-race bullshit. Man whom ever plans that crap sure wastes a lot of race track time such as we had Sunday. What the hell is the sense of ALL that hoopla??? Couldn't the powers that be in NASCAR start this crap earlier in the day??? FOX advertised the race starting at 1 locally, um why did it take two and a half hours for the green flag to drop??? I am sooo glad I didn't waste my time and hard earned money to go see what I thought was a quite boring race, well not entirely without action see next rant!!! I guess a win is a win, so props for the one you got handed to you Matty.

Here we go, I hope I totally don't piss off you Junior fans with this one, but here we go anyways cause dis is da way I sees it along with a WHOLE lot of other people. I saw a side of Junior today that made Kyle Busch look like the most mature driver in a race car Sunday.

First things first JUNIOR!!! If you have a bad day because of YOUR STUPID mistakes in the pits that is one thing, but to take out your frustrations on another driver shows me you need to grow the fuck up and get your head out of your Whiskey River.

Replay showed time and time again that Vickers came down to block (WHICH IS LEGAL) to hold his position for the Lucky Dog, keeping off that dreaded double line. So when Vickers SLAMMED the door on Junior, Lil E had drop below the double line a tad. I guess Junior felt that he was "wronged" so he came up and tapped Brian's quarter thus wiggling him up and WRECKING a bunch of awesome race cars. Including Kyle Busch who obviously had the car to beat leading 88 laps. Ironically the 88 took him out. Instead of lifting and gettin back in line you decided to well...duh duh duhmbass!!! To top it ALL off Junior acted like a total fuckin wuss and threatened to "whoop Brians ass" if he had anything he wanted to say to him. Believe me June you're not that much of a bad ass and you may have Sr.'s name, but you sure don't have the old man's finesse or fire in his belly either.

I think what gets me most of that whole deal is that just the day before Jason Leffler got into the back of I think Scott Lagasse Jr. and took him and a couple of other drivers out and Jason got parked for 5 laps. WTF??? NASCAR what happened to consistancy??? Junior's wreck was a lot more intentional that Jason's, yet Jason got fucked!!!

I guess NASCAR is chickenshit to say or do anything to Junior. Yepper if this is what happens when Junior grows a beard and turns into a complete asshole, he might want to go ask one of the "Gillete Young Guns" to borrow a razor. I can say this much Dale Sr. might have been aggressive and a little "pushy", but he sure never acted like Junior did. My advice for Junior, find a girlfriend (cause people are wondering) and get your head out of your ass before you wind up hurting or worse another driver with your childish behavior!!!

Whatta a way to start off the WHOLE racing season. MADD ASS props to that RCR number 29 Shell/Pennzoil team for being at the right place at the right time once more at Daytona. Happy drove the wheels off of that thing from waaay in the back to come out for the win. Even though I am estatic about Kevin's win, I am more impressed with the way Papa Gordo drove through the last major wreck. WTF!!!??? Almost any other driver would have been collected, but Papa G held the line and drove through it!!!

There were sooo many crazy moments through out the whole race, I actually was entertained. Last yaer the races were sort of, well how can I say this...??? FUCKIN boring!!! I hope that this is an indication of how the racing season will be. I can't even define the best moment of the race for me. I thought the whole show was gr88.

The most impressive part was watching Smoke kick ass in his own ride. If any of you had doubts about him as a owner/driver... I hope you didn't bet against him. You may have lost some money this season already. Darian Grubb and his crew were on the top of the game. Third place kicks ass for the first outing. I bet A.J. Foyt is beaming proud about now!!!

For those of you who couldn't see the finish or had "one" tooo many here are the results of the "finishing" cars: Happy, Jamie Mac, Smoke, Papa G, A.J. "Dinger", Kasey Kahne, Mr. Ed, Rubberhead, Matty, The "Vile One" Kyle Busch, Paul "Daddy Is MY Sponsor" Menard, Brian "I got Wiings" Vickers, and Dimwit Hamster were the last cars left running.

Sunday is the qualifying day for the Duels and Daytona. Good luck boys, this year is gonna be a lil different. With the loss of money and sponors, the merging of teams, and the fucked up economy, who knows how this will all end??? One thing is for sure, I hope the "Bearded One" doesn't do 4 in a row. All though I love history, specially when you are watching it be made. I just don't think I could take another year of "Queen Jimmie" reigning over NASCAR as a 4 time Chumpion.

I feel as though I must clarify the disdain towards J.J. Johnson. I think he has some superior talent as well as a genious crew chief. I personally don't think he is a "good" representation of a NASCAR Champion. Besides golf cart surfing and cutting his finger, what has he done to make you remember him as a Champion, besides the obvious 3 (luvs dat numba) Championships in a row??? AT least when Sr. was around EVERYONE knew Dale was the Champ!!! How can I say this nicely??? Jimmie Johnson is too damn plain. Just call him "Vanilla Nice"!!! Besides that Jimmie, if you can grow a beard to change the way you look, couldn't you at least feed Chandra a cheeseburger or two??? That girl makes Kelley Ripa look fat.

I was just reading an article that Jimmy Spencer wrote on Speed's NASCAR page. He was stating the obvious, but made some real good and valid points. When was the last time you got to meet and greet a driver after the race was over??? Unless you have a press pass or are sleeping with a crew member that pretty much NEVER happens. I remember a time when you would go to a race and at the end storm the infield to get autographs and even a piece of a car for a souvenir. The drivers would actually take the time to talk to you and thank you in their own way for supporting them. Any more that ain't happening. Everybody wants a piece of the pie. Shit an autograph from a "session" even costs you money. I remember a interview with Kyle Petty that he put into perspective how to treat the fans. He said almost verbatim, "Richard taught me to always take the time to sign a nice looking autograph". He also said "the fans deserve for you to take the time to make your signature look good the fans will ALWAYS remember that". Know what??? It's true. I have a diecast Richard signed and it is the nicest autograph I own.

The days of running onto the infield to grab a little piece of your favorite drivers car are so far gone I can't even remember when you could. NASCAR has gotten so "big for it's britches" that the common working fan can't even afford to go to a race because a fucking beer costs 8 bucks and a half a weeks salary for a stupid ticket. What do you get for your money??? A hard seat to sit on JUST to watch the cars go round and round wondering "why did I just waste this money when my electric bill isn't paid???" NASCAR and Little Brian France has marketed themselves right out of the "true roots" race fan. I know this much, unless it's Bristol or the tickets are free, I'm not spending my mortgage money going to watch these boring races when there is no lines for the bathroom and the toilet seat isn't carrying some kind of fungi right in my own home. Yes there are no exhaust fumes or energy that a live race gives you, but hey my electric bill is at least paid and my beer costs 11 bucks for TWELVE of them not one and a half!!!.

Since the fun of getting pieces of the tore up race cars is no longer available to the fans, you may ask what forever do they do with the busted up pieces??? They sell them to other businesses that sell the pieces for profit. At least when Petty Enterprises sells something it goes to the Victory Junction Gang Camp instead of some souvenir shops owners greedy pocket. Man NASCAR sure has forgotten not only it's roots and it's traditions, but it has forgotten it's "core" fans. The fans that will spend damn near the whole year saving for one fuckin race and everything else that shows the driver who their fans really are. I think it is about time the drivers AND NASCAR give back and make the sport accessible once again to the common fan who makes barely 10 bucks an hour supporting their families, not just the people with deep commercialized pockets. Kudos Brian France, you made NASCAR a total overpriced "menage-a-bunch and priced it right out of most peoples reach!!!

Around 2000 bc Babylonians partied down when new crops were planted as this was their New Years. Best thing about this was .............IT LASTED 11 DAYS!!!! Imagine the hangover? They didn't have a written calender. When the Romans came into power the emperors changed all that. They declared Jan. first as New Years in 153 bc. Even Julius Caesar had a part in it. In 46 bc he had to drag a year out for 445 days to synchronize the calender to the sun. In 1582 Pope Gregory the xiii introduced a revised version of Caesar's calender. Much like the same one we follow today. So what this has to do with racing, I don't know. I noticed on one of the sites I lurk and stalk around (Dale Jr. Pit Board, link to the right.) on that a post had been made about Jeff Gordon taking a cut in next years pay to help out financially. Personally I think that is a very generous offer especially since he probably has at least 50 times that much in the bank between himself and his better half. With absolutely no sarcasm with this statement, I think that if the "higher" paying drivers and owners wish to give up pay for next year would be awesome. Only problem I find with it is, who gets the money??? The rich rich rich team owners or what???

I came up with an idea that would help ALL people's cause, which is to race, right??? I think that the drivers/teams/owners that are willing to do this, should put ALL that saved wages into a slush fund for ALL the other underfunded teams that need help just to stay a float in these hard economic times. This way the loss of jobs could be stopped if not temporarily, but possibly permanently if the economy starts an upswing. Saving jobs, learning to budget better, and even showing another example of what the NASCAR community truly is...a TEAM.

I don't think that this would be practical to do every year by donating salaries, but I do think that if some of "money making" teams helped the "little guy" NASCAR may revive some of us old school fans that liked racing when it was about chasing after the rag. Not so much for image and the almighty dollar. As a fan, NASCAR racing used to be fun and affordable. Now you have to plan financially a year ahead to go if you even want to have a good time. A friggen beer costs 8 bucks!!! Hopefully NASCAR and the "others" can help bring back racing to the little teams and the fans, until then start saving. It's gonna be a long season next year.

Two Down, One To Go

Madd ass props to Johnny Benson and his number 23 Exide/Toyota Certified Used Cars Team for their narrow victory over Ron Hornaday for the 2008 Craftsman Truck Series Championship. Whatta end for a season, ONLY 7 points between Johnny B. and Hornaday. This is Johnny's first Truck Series title ever and his first Championship in any series since 1995 when he won the Busch Series title. FYI... Johnny was also a 1993 ASA Champion. Great run for those guys and whatta way to end the season.

Two last tidbits...Onionhead won Friday's truck race and once again int the Nationwide race you can count on Steven Wallace for making another bonehead move that took Scott Lagasse Jr. out of the race. I have always pondered on how to pronounce Rusty and Steven's last name, is it "Wall ass" or Wall-ACE"??? Either way you look at it, Steven is living up to the first part of his last name "Wall???".

Another stellar performance in the Nationwide Series Championship leaving that number 2 BB&T RCR Chevy team driven by Clint Bowyer holding the "real" hardware. Although Flipper won the race denying Kyle Busch to break Sam Ard's record, Clint came out on top for the Championship. Whatta good race and battle it was. Until the checkered rag dropped, it was hard to say who would have won. In the end I and my lil "tirepup" Manda were very happy. This is Clint Bowyer country, making this last race of the season a good one.

Watching Jimmie Johnson win yet another race in his quest for a three (even loves it when it comes to Sir Cockroach) peat Championship Cup run. Yee haw, yay, happy happy joy joy!!! All I can say is this, the man sure as hell can drive and combined with Chad they are a lethal combination on the track. With that being ahem...mentioned, what a fuckin boring Champion. WTF!!!??? You would think "Mr. Vanilla Nice" would at least have some kind of personality. I mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with being "squeaky clean", but man it sure is boring. I think maybe Jimmie needs to take some reflection on the commercials he does. With the help of a "director" he comes off sort of oddly funny. Just my observations nothing more.

It has been a rough week here in the Dawg House. My Gramma of 99 and 1/2 years passed away on Tuesday. My rock of Gibraltar is now with her husband, daughter, and rest of her family. She outlived everyone but me. This world was a better place with her in it, now Heaven is.

I guess now "On With The Show". Kevin Harvick sure made mince meat of the truck series on Friday night. Whatta a gr88 run for that number 2 Camping World Team Realtree Chevy Silverado team. That would be the first time ever that a team has won three (loves it) weeks in a row. Confused??? So was I, but here is how that worx: Hornaday in the 33, Ryan Newman in the 2, then this week Happy in the 2. See??? I guess that it was meant for the whole organization. SOOO CONFUSING!!! No wonder Bill Weber would talk like he is in his own "Lil World".

I think the real story on Friday night was how Hornaday battled back from a potentinally dismal DNF and a loss of a shitload of points to rally back and GAIN 3 (Luvs it that way too) points on Johnny Benson the points leader. Now going into Homestead there are ONLY 3 (DAMN LUVS IT!!!) points separating the two. Whatta way to end the truck season off this year. GO HORNADAY!!!

Another backflip made for Mr. Ed and the World Financial Ford. He is around fifty some odd points away from winning his first Nationwide Championship as well as quite possibly winning his first Cup also. Which would make him the ONLY driver to ever do that. ARGH!!! Come on Clint, don't let that happen. As far as Jimmie...who cares??? Lets go BIFFLE!!! Anyhoo, props to that 60 team for a well deserved win. A few tidbits to throw out there. First Ford has decided to pull factory support from ALL the Truck Series and Nationwide Series for the next year due to the economy. Ford will continue to support and R&D with those teams, just not give up the green. Ford states they want ALL their monies going into Cup the teams, this way all their eggs are in one safe little financial basket. Makes you wonder in the smaller series how many of the teams will jump ship to another manufacturer.

ANOTHER fucking rain delay. That is ten times during this season and four of them have been of the seven Chase races. You could almost say one third of this years races have been started by the points. Just giving Queen Jimmie another easy chance to run away to his third consecutive title. The only driver ever to do that before was Cale Yarborough. To think that Blowes Chevy driver and crew chief combo has proven lethal to the other drivers. Jimmie Johnson reminds me of a cockroach. Can't get rid of him in the Chase, just like the cockroach which has been around for a million years or so. I wonder if Raid makes a "Lowes" repellent???

First of all MADD ASS PROPS to that AT&T Sponsored 31 car out of the RCR stables for their second win of the year. Jeff Burton and his wife Kim held on to a gamble made by the 31 team to win at Lowes Saturday night. You know I gotta love the hell outta Kim. She is the true meaning of a wife. She is Jeff's biggest cheerleader, just like my wife. Man, she always cheers me no matter WHAT the fuck is up. Anyways back to my point and of course opinion... that 31 team kicked ass on a chance. The payoff??? 69 points away from his first Cup and RCR's 7th. Jeff sits in second place behind the Blowes Chevy of Jimmie Johnson.

All right I'll give J.J. and Chad props, they are the best right now. Between two year running as reinging Cup Champ and the "smarts" of Chad Knaus they almost are a shoe in for a three(luvs it)peat. Not since Cale Yarbourgh in the early 70's has that happened. Anyhoo 69 points is one DNF away from a total disaster. A confrontation stemmed from remarks Harvick made after Sunday's race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, in which Harvick called Edwards a "pansy" for riding around in the back of the pack before eventually moving to the front and running with the leaders. Soon after joining the lead pack, Edwards' car hit teammate Greg Biffle's car, touching off a 12-car wreck that collected Harvick, among others.
Before returning to North Carolina last weekend, Edwards left a handwritten note for Harvick with the pilot of Harvick's plane. The Charlotte Observer and ThatsRacin.com obtained a photo of the note, which said, "Kevin, Thanks for (expletive) me on TV - I was really trying to screw up everyone's day. Love, Carl. Thanx to "That's Racing.com" for the stolen quote.

Cause of the confrontation was as follows Carl ran his mouth and Harvick turned away, Flipper grabs Harvick by the shoulder as to turn him around and Kevin shoved "Mr. Muscles" back onto the hood of Kevin's Nationwide car leaving a dent. Then Happy's motorcoach driver I believe put "Dingleberry" in a headlock and restrained him until things settled down. NASCAR said no fines or penalties would be issued because it was an off track thing. Finally NASCAR DOES get something right. Well I guess by now Regan Smith's under the yellow line pass is ancient history. I must say what a pisser. Earlier in the season during a truck race, I forget who it was but they won a race at Daytona like that and didn't get popped. After the win was given to Smoke and all the dust settled, I must say Regan impressed me on how he handled this situation. He didn't SNUB the media, he didn't say immature words, and most of all as well as being majorly dissappointed he was very very RESPECTFUL!!! Damn that Rookie Of The Year shoe in could teach a few things to a few of the "other" drivers. Mainly just one I can think of, not mentioning any names except I still like M&M's.

What a crazy weekend of racing and life's lessons too. First the racing part. That Blowes Impala really blew the field at Kansas. WTF??? He fucked around most of the season giving me hope he wouldn't even be there in the end ( I knew better, but a Dawg can hope now can't he???) to even contend for the Chase. DAMMITT MAAN!!! I stand corrected. Back to the race, AGAIN!!! I think the best part of the race was Cousin Carl and his slide move he pulled. "I learned it from my video game", as he shot past and up front of J.J. he "intentionally" slammed it up against the wall hoping the momentum would still carry him to the checkers. Flipper said it works in the game, now he stands corrected too!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!

Now who remembers who said that??? Anyways, life sucks sometimes and that is just the way it is. Your mortgage is paid, your electric is paid, you have cash in the bank as well as in your pocket. You own a race team, travel and get paid to do what you love to do for a WELL PAYING living. You probably have more food in your fridge than probably I do in mine and I have a family with two kids!!! Props to Mike Skinner for his win this weekend in the Craftsman Truck Series. Thanks to Johnny B. blowing a tire, Ron "The King of Restarts" Hornaday is just 1 point behind for the Championship waiting to strike. Just like Loren Wallace.

Shrub-a-dub-dub reeked havoc in the Nationwide Series race Saturday, winning in domination form. That kid could race sailboats in the desert and still win. Unfortunately for him... keep reading.

Da Biff made it back-to-back wins Sunday, making it the first time ANYONE has won the first 2 races of the Chase. Roush/Fenway Racing had the cars to beat. If Jamie Mac hadn't had his misfortune, me thinks Roush/Fenway would have had 4 cars in the top five instead of 3 (luvs that number). One thing is for sure, Vile Kyle probably is hating the Chase format right about now. Once having a 200 plus point lead, now has dwindled down to a twelfth place standings for the Cup. I can see where this could be bullshit, but it is what it is. If Kyle can bring it for the next 8 races, he may have a chance as long as the others have problems. Odds are Kyle should push it and go for the wins. I think he has a snowball's chance in Haiti to come back for the Cup. Oh well now there will be 8 weeks of what shoulda, coulda, and speculation of why things went sour. YAWN!!! We all know why though in the back of our minds...karma, she's a bitch.

The Chase is set and now we go back to square one. Here is how they stand now with the Chase starting. Kyle in front like most of the year, Flipper 30 points back, Queen Jimmie 40 behind, Dimwit, Juinorrr, Clint Bowyer, and Jeff Burton are 70 points back, then Smoke, Papa Gordo, Da Biff, Matt Kenseth, and Happy ALL are all 80 markers behind. Now the fun begins and strategy goes out the window, I guess that is why they named it "The Chase". Can we say "menege bunch (translated that means cluster-fuck)"???

YAY!!! Queen Jimmie won another one. Starting to remind me of last year when J.J.. decided to wake up and kick ass. YUK!!! Props to the other top ten: Smoke, Dimwit, Juniorrr, Mark Martin, Jeff Burton, Happy, Papa Gordo, David "Root" Reutimann, and Rubberhead. Where oh where did our point leader go??? First things first on this Labor Day, may God bless those who are affected by "Hurricane Gustav".

For the first time "Jim" Johnson and his "Blowes" Chevy dominated Sundays race almost rag to rag. First time ever won by a pole sitter. Restarts weren't even a problem, considering after they flag dropped he checked the fuck out. Props to the whole Blowes team. Madd props to that Office Depot Fusion AGAIN!!! They held off Shrubs for the win Saturday night in Bristol. Post race cool down lap with "Mr. Ed" and "Bile Kyle" was rather funny. Shrubs "slams" the side of Carl's car for the love tap Carl gave him to snatch the lead, then Carl pays back the same but to the right rear quarter. You know what that meant...SPIN!!! Come on now boys, Bristol IS the "Home of the Bump and Run". Damn Shrubs, I thought that you of ALL people would remember that.

For the second time this year the "Kes" won another race. He drove Bristol like he had for many years. That JRM Navy Chevy was the class of the field. As you can tell driver AND owner are happy. Hopefully this will make sponsors WAKE UP and hook the "Kes" up for years to come.
Finally, WHAT THE FUCK??? Why in the hell would RCR go out and hire Casey Mears??? I mean he is a cool guy, but he CAN NOT drive. Why on earth Richard would pull Clint away ( besides the points thingy and such) from that 07 Jack Daniels Chevy??? Think about it, can you HONESTLY see Sluggo selling Jack Daniels??? That would be like me selling tampons, makes no sense. Instead now Clint has to take a fledgling team and make it on time every week, unless they transfer points to the 33 from the 07. Either way, what a fucked up move in my mind. Hell I thought Richard would at least hire someone with promise or a youngen. Gotta say Clint handled it like a true man. Shrub-a-dub-dub won AGAIN for the 17th time in a demonstration of how to drive a truck near flawlessly. Great job to that number 51 Miccosukee Toyota Tundra Team, talk about controlling a race. Must give props to the rest of the top ten: Onionhead, Blue Toe, Johnny B., Rick Crawford, T.J. Bell (awesome finish kid), Mike Skinner, Dennis Setzer, David Stremme, and Terrible Ted Musgrave. Seven Tundra's in the top ten. Did they change the Series to the "Toyota Truck Series" yet??? Maybe they should, how many more Toyotas can they cram in the top ten???

Oh yeah, one last thing. "JIM" Johnson should stick to stock cars. I'll admit he did try to save it at least four times, but then ran outta talent, spun and than crashed out. I guess he would suck in dirt racing, can't handle "loose". Maybe Kyle could teach him a thing or two. Although in the beginning he did look pretty strong in that Moss Motorsports number 81 Blowes Chevy before he "lost" it. I just love Bristol!!!

Cousin Carl smoked the competition both Saturday and Sunday. I guess the proper word is SWEEEP!!! They were on top of their game both races. Ole Flipper did well...kudos to both your teams on their wins. Some people liked to try three(luvs it) and four wide racing...and didn't come out to well. I think Smoke and Queen Jimmie tangled a bit and grabbed up Papa Gordo, then a couple of laps later BAM in da wall with a flat from the previous skirmish. Gordo handled it well as did Junebugs little tire issue. Bring on Bristol baby!!!

One last thought...shamey shamey shamey to the crew chiefs of the 18 and 20 cars in the Nationwide series. Nice try with the magnets. For an outfit that has never condoned cheating, they sure have egg on their faces. I'd hate to be in that meeting on Monday.

This past weekend you saw Dale Jr. kickin ass leading early, you saw some off road action as well as on road action (thank God Bobby and David were able to walk away, YAY COT), you saw some pretty cool passes, you saw some spins, but in the end... it was once again "Vile Kyle" Busch winning for the 8th time. That gives him 80 bonus points for the Chase. Love him or hate him, that kid can drive. Madd ass bad ass props to that entire 18 M&M's team. The rest of the top ten: Smoke, Kangaroo Meat (Love the hell outta Marcos and that Little Debbie Koala bear and Little Debbies too for that matter), JPM, Mahtin Truex Jr., Queen Jimmie, Dimwit, Flipper, and Rubberhead. By the way after a "so-so" call Junior finished 22nd dropping him two spots to 4th in points. Finally Boris Said finished 24th, sorry Boris NO signed Richard Petty hat for you. Next up Michigan while the trucks invade Bristol.

Madd props and major "CHEERS MATE" to the Taz-manian Devil hisself...Marcos "Kangaroo Meat" Ambrose for his very first win in any of NASCAR's divisions. He held off a late charge (maybe 20 feet on a restart lol) by Shrubs to bring hs STP sponsored Ford Fusion into Victory Lane. Man it sure has been a long time since STP found it's way back into the winner's circle. I can actually say I am happy for him. It proves that nice guys can finish first. The rest of the top ten: Shrub-a-dub-dub, Matty, Happy, Mr. Ashley Judd, The Kes, Sliced Bread, Jason "Fohawk" Leffler, David "Dart Without Wings" Ragan, and Brad " I Got J.J.'s Job" Coleman.

I guess Pocono wasn't that boring of a race. We saw great combacks like Happy getting spun early and finishing fourth, Tony Stewart finishing second, and we also saw Kyle not only wasn't a factor in the race, but he didn't piss no one off in the process. Oh yeah, Carl Edwards won. I have often pondered when he is going to mess up his backflip and bust his ass. Either way you look at it he won and the rest of the top ten are as follows: Smoke, Queen Jimmie, Happy, David "Dart Without Wings" Ragan, Clint "J.D." Bowyer, Kasey "BudBoy" Kahne, Mark "I Don't Want To Retire" Martin, Jamie Mac, and Papa Gordo. Good run for Junior in 12th and madd props to Chad McCumbee for his 17th place finish in Kyle Petty's less than spectacular ride. Next week, Watkins Glen!!! Speaking of road courses...

That was sooo cool to see the boys race up in Montreal in the rain. Granted I don't think I would like to see any more races in the rain, but that was really something to watch. Well watch on television, being there or racing in it had to suck total exhaust. It was amazing to see the drivers handle the wetness. A few people had problems, but other than a few ooopsies I would say they did very well. Madd props to the "Go Daddy.com" Chevy outta J.R. Motorsports/Hendrick camp. With Ron Fellows driving, what else besides a stellar finish would you expect??? Seems to me that the Goodyear people would have thought about the difference between last year and this year...LAST FUCKIN YEAR!!! Give me a break, are you trying to tell me that NO ONE remembered that last year they ran the "old style" car and this year they were running the new car??? How many years of college did it take for them to figure it out??? One would think that after knowing they were NOT running the old style any more that you WOULDN'T use the same tires. WHY??? Cause it isn't the same fucking car. The center of roll is different, the set ups are different, the height of the car is different as is the width and even the suspension packages are different, even where the driver is located is different. So what pencil pushing geek forgot to figure ALL that into the mix??? The same one who probably thought: "Let's save us some money and use the stuff we have left over from last year"!!! DUH!!! Then again what would I know about tires anyways???

I guess you could say it made for a great 40 segement 10 lap shoot-out. I think that when Stewie blasted Goodyear before for shit tires that they would have at least listened or tried to use a little common sense when "assuming" what would work this year. Oh that's right when you assume you make an "ass outta ume", or in this case NASCAR and Goodyear. Which anymore isn't really all that hard.

First things first must give "Clone Jimmie" and that Lowes Chevy team madd props for winning their second Brickyard 400 in the last three (luvs it) years. WOOHOO!!! Props to the rest of the top ten: Flipper, Dimwit Hamster, E-Sad, Papa Gordo, Jamie Mac, Bud Boy, Da Biff, Jeff Burton, and A.J. "I got Wiings" Allmendinger. Other notables are: Junebug in 12th, points leader Vile Kyle in 15th, Sam Hornish finished 21st, Kangaroo Meat finished 22nd, and last years winner Smoke finished it up in 23rd.

What was the deal with the tires??? Man I got so fuckin bored watching ten laps, caution...ten laps, caution...etc. Goodyear had their heads up their blimp this time. I have never seen such bullshit tires at a race in my life as I did yesterday. Goodyear charges teams around $1700 a set, and this is what they paid for in return??? Man, me thinks some free sets from Goodyear ought to be dropped off at Pocono. Goodyear AND NASCAR fubarred this call. Even so it still falls back on the tire manufacturer. Hey Tony!!! What do you think of these "pathetic" excuse for tires???

Finally, Shrubs yet won another one on Saturday night. Leading all but three (there it is again) laps. That kid is on a roll. Props to that number 18 Z-Line Designs team for their dominating win. On to Pocono!!!

I Likes Tradition!!!

Last nights truck race was pretty good. A lot of hard racin and not too many pissed off drivers. Oh yeah I forgot, maybe Chad McCumbee is a lil miffed Shrubs. Seems two weeks in a row ole Kyle has helped Chad get out of the race just a tad early. OH Shrub-A-Dub-Dub what a tangled web we weave. Anyways back to the real racin, Ron Hornaday race Johnny Benson tooth and nail for at least thirty some odd laps until a nice move going into a turn gave Johnny B. the lead for the night. Even a few late race cautions couldn't help the "King of Restarts" out. Johnny was the class of the field. Madd props to that BDR Tundra team. Also gotta give Hornaday props for racing Johnny somewhat old school. Speaking of old school, nice "Polish Victory Lap" Mr. Benson. Man I miss those races.

Keeping in the line of tradition, check out Smoke's new ride and sponsors. All the scuttlebutt was true with his new sponsors, but the main thing I like better than anything else is the number of his ride and the reason for it. Using the number 14 of his idol A.J. Foyt carried ALL those years as a driver and a owner.

Winning is synonymous with that number, as is the driver. I remember when A.J. was driving and man that dude was rough. Just like his days as a owner in Indy Car. Do you remember in Victory Lane at Texas I believe, when A.J. was pissed because of circumstances that screwed him from winning a race, then came in on the driver who had won the race and "attacked" the driver on live television??? Man do Tony and Mr. Foyt have alot in common, photographers etc... A-HEM Mr. Stewart. Anyways I love the cars colors and the way they look. I already use Old Spice, so now that Flipper isn't involved with Office Depot maybe I will go in there and buy some invoices or something. I am still gonna go the Home Depot though, NOT a big fan of Queen Jimmie and Blowes.

What a move Shrubs pulled on poor "Lil J.J." goin into turn one. Jimmie admittlingly made a bad move and vrooom, there went Kyle to the top. Fittingly taking the "Petty Line" on this day of celebration of 50 years in Racing for the King. So far he has a 70 point bonus stash awaiting him for the Chase. If this keeps up by the time the Chase starts he'll have almost the same amount of a lead as he does now. This has been a hell of a season for this JGR driver. That number 18 M&M's team pretty much had a flawless race. Well 'cept when "Ole Kyle" decided to slide the car through the WET INFIELD!!! "DUH"!!! To quote Shrub-a-dub-dub. I guess this entire race was a TEAM effort, including the burn-out after the TEAM HAD to HELP push yo dumb ass outta the infield.

Props to Queen Jimmie, Happy, Da Biff, Smoke, Brian "My car has Wiings" Vickers, Matty, David "Dart Without wings Ragan, Mahtin "Get Me Off This Ship" Truex Jr., and Flyn Ryan Newman for their top ten finishes. Another note...the lone owner/driver Robby Gordon finished 25th, after starting 31st. Good luck Smoke.

If We Didn't Already Know

Since qualifying was rained out thanx to Mother Nature's idea of a green race track and the field is set on owner points there is really only one thing left to type about. Tony Stewart has bought a 50% ownership in the now "Stewart/Haas" racing. I am sure Mr. Haas needed that money for the daily trips to the federal commissary. Not to mention the fines levied by the IRS. It will be very interesting to see how hot and out of the gates Tony can make his new team for next year. I wish him all the best of luck in the world. Not since Ricky Rudd in Martinsville in '98 (I think it was 98) has a owner/driver won a race. So the odds are kinda against him. Then again we ARE talking about Smoke, I think he can do it.

Interesting scenarios could play out for the sponsors, drivers, and car numbers. I personally think Tony will drive a number 14 Chevy. Only because of ALL the similarities between himself and A.J. Foyt. If you didn't already know this, A.J. ran the number 14 in his career in racing. As far as the "other" team, who the fuck knows??? Personally I am leaning a little towards the Ryan Newman rumors as the second driver for Smoke. What the number for that team will be there again gets asked the same question as before...who the fuck knows??? The only thing I can say almost positive is Office Depot/Old Spice for Smokes ride. RCR refuted the bullshit of Jack Daniels leaving next year as Clint Bowyer's sponsor.

So there you have it all in a nut shell. Another one of the many dominos that should fall soon in this part of the year known as "Silly Season". Just how much sillier can it get???

Did you hear that folks??? It was the first of many domino's to fall. Marty Smith (ESPN) has reported that Tony Stewart will be announcing his departure from JGR today. Then on Thursday make it known he will be a 50% owner in the new "Stewart-Haas" Racing. Going back to his mechanical roots being powered once again by Chevrolet. I think that this is a smart move on Smoke's part. Mainly because I think he wants to secure his future after racing. Not to mention the fact that he was NOT so thrilled when JGR defected and went to Toyota for it's manufacturer.

Oh what will happen to the longest and best driver/crew chief combo in recent NASCAR history??? Not since Papa Gordo and Ray Evernham have there been a successful run as a driver/crew chief team. Will this mean the "divorce" between the two or will Zippy follow Tony and finish off both of their respective careers together??? I guess between today and tomorrow we will find out. I can only hope so, but indications say otherwise.

Rumors have DEI up for sale for a major investor to come in and possibly bale out the sinking ship once known for it's restrictor plate dominance, now known for loss of sponsors, personnel, and of course the company's namesake and son of our beloved Dale Sr., because of greed and stupidity. Maybe stupidity is the wrong word, hell if I was any smarter I'd be that rich. I think loss of purpose would be better. Ms. E. is ONLY thinking of the payola, not what Sr. had envisioned. I guess it must be a bitch to go to a place where your soulmate and yourself had built an empire. Than after the loss of Sr. and having to deal with the constant reminders of her loss (as well as Junebugs) on a day to day basis, yeah a little sympathy goes to her. On the flip side, wouldn't she want to keep it in the family for future generations to come??? Come on Kelley and June, pony up the dollars and take back what Sr. wanted ALL his kids to have.

Six And Still Counting

Six races so far this season in Cup and there is still more to come. With his sixth win of the year has given Shrubs a 60 point lead in the Chase and it hasn't even started yet. Madd ass props to that JGR Interstate number 18 Toyota Camry team. You're as only good as your team and that team is stellar this year. I gotta say though, love him or hate him the way the fans act by throwing full beer cans make me ashamed to be a fan of NASCAR. NASCAR or the venues MUST stop this foolish act of expression before some innocent person gets hurt. GROW UP you assholes!!!

I bet Jeffy isn't too happy with Flipper. Man that sucked to have a car that good and get punted on a restart like that. Jeff was very cordial, but me thinks when they are at a short track...ooops Mr. Edwards didn't see ya there. Then it is Mr. Flipper meet Mr. wall!!! Then again Papa Gordo has mellowed in his "elder" years.

Last lap wrecks...ah shit happens. Everyone going for broke and position and bunched up like that...it happens!!! Must give props to J.J. Yeley taking over for a sick Smoke. Not only did it take balls to hop in that car and take over, but he had no seat time what so ever and ran that car like he stole it. Shit he even broke the top ten before stupid driving on the track forced him back and then into the meley at the end of the race. Amazingly enough he finished in the top twenty to spite all that. Maybe the kid CAN drive.
